Ardener is a musician for the Unity Church of Truth and the Fourth Missionary Baptist church where she is a life-long member. She is also a musician for Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Sorority, Incorporated, and also has served as National Director of Fine Arts for Eta Phi Beta Business & Professional Women's Sorority.

She owns the Murray-Lewis Music Service which specializes in piano, organ and keyboard accompaniment and background music for all occasions and enjoys performing music for many nursing homes, retirement centers, senior citizen centers, schools, etc Currently, she and Johnny perform regularly.
